About the Business
Acupuncture involves the careful placing of very fine needles into specific parts of the body to unblock stagnant energy (or Qi), keeping it flowing freely around the body. Stagnant energy can cause disease and/or pain, so when that energy is unblocked and allowed to move freely again, the body begins to return to balance, and therefore, to health.
Chinese Herbal Medicine is a fundamental part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is used alongside acupuncture when treating certain conditions. Formulas are created from 12-16 herbs and each formula is tailored to address the specific underlying imbalance(s) within each patient. Generally, herbs are taken as granules to be mixed with hot water as a drink, taken twice daily.
