About the Business
Katheryne studied Oriental Medicine at the International College of Oriental Medicine UK, West Sussex from 1991 to 1995, gaining a provisional Licentiate of Acupuncture in 1994, and on completion of further studies and the submission of a thesis a Full Licentiate of Acupuncture in 1995.
As part of CPD (Continuous Professional Development ) a further 2 year course in massage was completed in 1993, LCSP (London and Counties Society of Physiologists), at the International College of Oriental Medicine.
She studied Herbal Medicine Phytotherapy at the School of Herbal Medicine, Kent from 1984 to 1987, qualifying also in Swedish Massage in 1986 with distinction. She took short courses in Iridology, and Bach Flower Remedy's in London in 1985.
CPD is an ongoing commitment to continuous review, keeping current with the latest research on skills and approach. Most recently her CPD has focused on the latest approaches in the treatment of children.

What is Oriental Medicine?
Oriental medicine aims to balance the chi or life force in the body and in so doing works on the principle that medical complaints may be addressed. Rebalancing the chi or life force energy results in feelings of wellbeing and relaxation, reducing stress and tension, and boosting the parasympathetic nervous system function of rebuilding the body.
Treatments include:
- Acupuncture;
- Moxibustion;
- Cupping;
- Acupressure;
- Massage.
All these treatments can be applied to the body's meridian system and specifically the acupuncture points.
Acupuncture can relieve:
