About the Business
Diana has undergone three years extensive training in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Western medical biosciences. Diana has completed further training in paediatric acupuncture, as well Japanese style acupuncture, which often better suits those who are needle shy.
She is a fully insured and registered Member of the British Acupuncture Council, the main professional body maintaining standards of education, ethics, and safe practice in the UK.
My journey to becoming an acupuncturist started in early childhood. I met an Icelandic herbalist who showed me a home-made ointment she had made to heal wounds, and I became fascinated by the healing powers hidden in the nature that surrounds us. I started reading anything I could find on alternative medicine and my interest grew from there. Years later I went for my first acupuncture treatment. I was curious to see how it would work, and that was the point of no return! The art and the science side by side.

Chronic Pain
Imagine for a second what you’d be capable of if you weren’t in pain. What are you doing? How do you feel? Just close your eyes and explore that picture for a minute…
Digestive Problems
Does bloating keep you from wearing what you want? Does pain keep you from normal day-to-day activities? Do you still feel sociable with your irritable bowel?
Digestion should be the most natural thing a human being does, yet so many of us suffer tremendously from digestive problems. There are many contributing factors of course, such as:
- Stress and emotional strain;
- Eating habits;
- Intolerances;
- Medication;
- New climate (being abroad).
All of these factors and many more are taken into account when you see an acupuncturist. Acupuncture’s core function is to regulate the body’s energy and energy is essentially required for digestion and having well-formed bowel movements. If you suffer from an irritable bowel, constipation, diarrhoea, or crohn’s disease for example, you know that this action can leave you feeling exhausted and drained. Acupuncture works really well to regulate the bowel movements to your body’s natural rhythm and to decrease levels of pain, bloating and other discomfort that may follow.
Acupuncture can be very quick at relieving acute symptoms. It is however important for long term effects that you make an effort in terms of lifestyle and diet.
