About the Business
I am graduate of the Collage of Integrated Chinese medicine in Reading, gaining a BSc (Hons) degree in Acupuncture, and receiving a Licentiate in Acupuncture, after a 4 year course in both Traditional Chinese medicine, which initially concentrates on signs and symptoms, and 5 Element Chinese medicine, which approaches healing from the emotional and spiritual aspect.
I discovered how effective acupuncture is for myself while working as an Occupational Therapist back in 1989. I was suffering terribly from the effects of hay fever, which was noticed by a colleague of mine who had trained in China as an acupuncturist before becoming a Physiotherapist. I was a true skeptic having been trained in the Western Medical model, and just couldn't see how acupuncture could make any difference to my symptoms. However, I gave it a go and within a month I had no symptoms and surprisingly I also had more energy and just generally felt better. From then on I was intrigued.
