About the Business
Eleanor Davies originally trained as a therapeutic radiographer and worked in the Beatson Oncology centre in Glasgow. In 2004 she became a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC). The BAcC ensures that all members have completed sufficient training and are insured, they also set down strict codes of conduct and ethics which members have to adhere to.
Eleanor has since gone on to complete post graduate training in fertility and IVF with Jill Glover and Zita West. In 2006 she was awarded a Masters (MSc) in Acupuncture, her research looked at the effectiveness of acupuncture in cancer care. Most recently she has completed an Advanced Diploma in Oriental Massage (Tui Na) with Nick Hudis.

About Acupuncture Treatment
Acupuncture is the ancient Chinese tradition of inserting fine needles in to specific points in channels along the body according to the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM is based on the theory of Qi, the energy that flows through the body.
Illness can be seen as a dysfunction of the body's ability to maintain the smooth flow of Qi and so the body becomes unbalanced. Acupuncture aims to treat the person as a whole and restore the natural balance between physical and emotional.
